The Volvo Golf Challenge was held for the 10th time recently at the Kota Permai Golf and Country Club in Shah Alam.
The event that started in 1988, saw an exciting 18 holes of golf by 108 players comprising customers and the senior management team from Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses and Volvo
Players gathered bright and early at the golf resort, decked out in game-fitting attire and with full-on enthusiasm as they looked forward to a friendly competition but not without the
anticipations and hopes of winning the prizes.

Mr Charlie Lau from Freightmark Sdn Bhd, who won second place in last year’s event, had clearly gained more skills and luck this year by emerging as the champion with a score of 39 points.
His sweet victory earns him a trip to Sweden to represent Malaysia at the prestigious Volvo World Golf Challenge, where he will compete with winners from other countries.
He was also presented with a prized Bohemian Crystal trophy.
Finishing in a close second place this year was Lee Chee Hua from Megah Transport Sdn Bhd with a score of 38 points.
For his effort, Lee won himself one TaylorMade Big Red Daytona Putter and a Bohemian Crystal trophy.
Meanwhile third place belonged to Jonathan Kok from Jasa Export Sdn Bhd with a score of 37 points.
He won one TaylorMade AG Golf Stand Bag and a Bohemian Crystal trophy.
Both players are former champions of the amateur event.
